The state of Alabama is making headlines again for a potential policy change.

One lawmaker in the state is looking to permanently and PHYSICALLY punish those convicted of child molestation. Known as HB 379, it  was introduced by State Representative Steve Hurst. The bill seeks to chemically castrate convicted child molesters before they leave prison.

"They have marked this child for life and the punishment should fit the crime," said Hurst.
